Medical Alert Tattoo?

I'm contemplating. I really hate wearing the bracelet and think a medical alert tattoo might be a nice option ... question is - would medical professionals look or actually honor it?

I'll have to think about it some more. It seems like they are becoming more common, but what if this corn allergy just suddenly goes away ... i'm dreaming, right?

I am torn between my appreciation of technical advances to support and protect our environment and, of course, my corn allergy.
