I'm contemplating. I really hate wearing the bracelet and think a medical alert tattoo might be a nice option ... question is - would medical professionals look or actually honor it?

I'll have to think about it some more. It seems like they are becoming more common, but what if this corn allergy just suddenly goes away ... i'm dreaming, right?
Check out the carriers that are used for the ink, they generally contain corn. If you do decide to go ahead, please proceed with caution.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking about getting one because I'm allergic to metals and can't wear the wristband or necklace. As the first comment said, proceed with caution. Another idea might be to get your tattoo to say "severe food allergy" and carry a card in your wallet that says what you are allergic to. At least the medics would be warned, even if you don't have the card with you. And if your allergies change, then all you have to do is change the card.
